Ok, I know not everyone drinks, or allows drinking on their boat, so this thread is not for you per se. We often times have several people on our boat and responsibly enjoy a few drinks while on the hook. My question is, what are your favorite drinks to make in bulk/batch, maybe before hand? We are getting a bit burned out on margaritas and I've made Sea Breezes in the past (great if you freeze it, like a slushy). What other ideas do you all have?!

Jack Daniels Champaign punch --

Take 1 large can of pineapple chunks. Pour out the water. Replace with Jack Daniels and allow to soak a day or so - the longer the better.

When your ready to mix it up take 2 bottles of champaign and mix with the pineapple mixture and ice.

Yummy and the pineapple chunks are awesome!

Try the pineapple thing with good vodka also. It is wonderful. At the Sullivans steakhouse in Baton Rouge, they have a drink called a Knockout Martini (I think that is the name). They have a big (think water cooler at work size) glass container that they fill with fresh cut pineapple. Then they fill that with Grey Goose vodka and let it soak. They have a spout on the bottom where they dispense it into frozen martini glasses. It is awesome. My favorite on the boat is still beer. Good beer for socializing and cheap beer for fishing. I also NEVER throw cans or bottles in the water. I put them back in the cooler and empty into the trash later.

Beer for the boat -- typically light beer with an occasional Blue Moon with an orange in it, in a plastic cup. However, on the dock we do the bacardi fuzzy navel mixes with vodka!

Capt Morgan on the rocks with a splash of Capt. Morgan.

But not for the driver--he/she gets bottled water.

...might as well just throw them in the lake then.

Don't they have a recycling program there?

try ceasers in bulk,
vodka with clamato, dash tabasco and worcestershire sauce (lea and perrins) try with a small shot of sweet lime juice for more zest.
and alluminum bear cans can be compressed.

That sounds good, never tried it before. Do you do it with any beer or do you have a preference?

This one is a secret . . . shhhhhhhhhh!!!! If you like MaiTais, well this isn't one :p The absolute best, and magical mixer, is Kern's Nectar, Pineapple Orange Passion Fruit. Not as common as some of the other Kern's, but available in many Grocery Stores. We mix it with Meyer's Dark Rum for the guys, we call it a Muller and it is for Mullin' stuff over around Miller time. That's the original. However . . . It is amazing with almost any spirit. With Light Rum I call it a Chick Muller and may be the best for what you describe. With Vodka it tastes a little Grapefruity, but still amazing. I URGE you all to find a couple of cans and give it a try. The Muller is my original, and you have to treat it with respect, or I WILL hunt you down and . . . well I'll do something. The others you can do what you want, they are more garden variety, but still, the simplest and best tasting phoofey drink you can find . . . :D

Absolutely has to be the exact Kern's I describe, Pineapple Orange Passion Fruit. I call it POP to help me remember ;)

Just wheat beers like Blue Moon. The way the yeast in the beer and the orange interacts makes it owe so good!

Blue Moon is actually a Belgium wheat, but an orange is good in other style wheat beers too!

PS, they say the brewers yeast in the bottom of an unfiltered wheat beer also helps prevent hangovers! Now, if you drink 25 of them, followed by something else, ain't nothing going to help!

QC, I'll be trying that out tonight.. while mulling over tomorrow's restore tasks :)

For the seriously quick and easy, you can also just bring along a couple of bottles of red wine, a couple bottles of ginger ale and mix em up. Quick, easy, tastes good and you don't mind dumping out the leftovers. I call them 'wine-trash coolers'. Especially good to use up that hideous merlot 'friends' bring over.

I think beer is my favorite. Easy to pack, no worries about forgetting cups or clean ice. Usually a few Kokanees(the beer, not the salmon, although I do call it "kokanee fishing" every once in a while!) and cigar or two and I am golden!

Back up at the cabin after a fun day on the lake, vodka tonics or rumand cokes around the fire.....mmmmm that's it! I'm going to the lake this weekend!

LOL :D I like making Sangria with the carp too . . .

duck tape the cap back on the water mellon.....
Can I glass it back together instead? Which weight cloth would work best? Epoxy better than Polyester Resin? Brush or roll on? What if I extend the Watermelon for more sloshing around room? Walmart or Home Depot Duct tape? If I forget to winterize the Watermelon can I use JB Weld? Or should I start over with a new Watermelon rind? Where are the drain petcocks? What size hole will give me the best flow? If I have 6 am I bascially screwed? Or will I just speak more languages?
