New One! sittiing at my desk and still feeling the boat rocking because I spent so much time on it the last couple days!

Too many favorite moments to list them all. But it's the smiles that boating brings to the kids' faces I enjoy the most.

Some of my favorite boating moments are not even in the boat, but the boat is there. While camping, waking up early, coffee in hand, and taking in the view of the boat sitting in the calm lake.

Anytime I'm out on the water, really...

My favorite... On a flat clam lake, fishing a topwater lure. When a nice big bass hammers the lure, launching from the water. Always gets my blood pumping!

I dont think i have had my best memory yet. Ive had some good outings, and some pretty crazy ones. I think the best memory i will have, will be when i get to take the old man out on my boat instead of the other way around.

We didnt have the best relationship growing up, but we knew how to have fun. Boating or wave runners was a major pastime for us. But he sold them when i moved out, and hasnt had anything since. I know he is proud of my brother and I, and i just know he will be a happy father when we get to go out on the boat again.

Scheduling mostly. he lives about 2 hour away, and there isnt any water around him. Plus he has his own family with girlfriend and her kid. I only had the boat a few months of the season last year, and just got it ready for this year. It will happen soon.

He has a big toy hauler camper, so the plan is to meet at the lake for a weekend.

Been lucky enough to've had more than my fair share of memorable boating moments. But one I can't seem to forget happened 40 yrs ago in Miami. Me'n my Dad were putzing around in our lil john boat when a passing pelican took a major dump on him. Missed me but got Dad good. What didn't land on his head and knees wound up in his pipe (tobacco pipe that is). Honestly don't remember exactly what he said afterward but you can bet it was friggin hilarious. He was a man of few words yet used them with devastating efficiency. One of the funniest sobs you'd ever care to meet.

I had a great weekend (last weekend) we were out on my buddies fishing boat for Bass. My first experience fishing Bass and let me tell you "I understand what you mean when a Bass HAMMERS the lure!" Great time.

Were you fishing a top water lure? If not, I highly recommend giving it a try, it's a blast!

I wasn't. But I will try next weekend. Same boat, same spot, same friends, different lure (Top water) ;)

Re: Favorite boating moment

Awesome moment:
Got a baby sitter for the night and left the marina at approx 7:00pm (just my wife and I). We cruised at approx. 30km/hr and looked at my wife smiling while the wind blows through her hair. We anchored in a small bay (approx 20 minutes away), brought some fresh lobster, cooked them on the boat, had a couple glasses of cold white wine and ate like champs. Once done (and full of lobster juice all over us) it was clothes off and in the water for a little swim while looking at the sunset....to top it off had a cigar on the ride back to the marina!
what a night...

Any moment where two teens prefer being with their family on their boat than off with their friends. '

Better yet if their friends are on their boat right next to us

Similar experience:
We were anchored all day next to a friends boat. We spent the day playing the water, drinking, eating (BBQ) and topped it off with a fire, marshmallows and a mid-night dip!
