Re: Favorite Metaphors

Hey Ltd-Time,
Thought it was a good one too, but I read "ugly as a bad o' hammers" about a THOUSAND times. The "truckloads of dead babies" post had me rollin' on the floor...
I try, but even from a foreign country, I get zapped! Its ok though...I'll get by, and if you're lookin' for a dram of good single malt whiskey, look to the distillery in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

I thought city folks knew everything. ;)
I gotta admit, the comment about Jimmie Carter and liver pills looks like a mixed metaphor. They had to drop the "liver" from the name as they were basically a laxative and nothing to do with the liver. I guess the message is that Carter didn't need a laxative????? ;)

I've been away for a long time but still recognize ignorance and rudeness at its best.

The expression is "He's got more (insert any item here) than Carter has Little Liver Pills" and has nothing to do with President Carter whatsoever.

Who did TECHNOSNOT used to be? He's obviously not new with a post count like that but I have a few ideas who he is.

 Last one, I'm probably just not old enough(born during his presidency). But the others just don't make any sense to me. :D
One might ask the same question of THE PROFESSOR?
It is evedent who the truly rude, ignorant poster is. Perhaps if you used a little of your higher education you wouldn't make inocuous comments. Who am I, Einstein? " :p
