Re: Feeling cheated by Evinrude/Bombardier
Man, I would say that some are jumping to conclusions here!! First of all! Bombardier has about 10 jillion of these motor extended warrantys and money rebate forms to focus on right now. Does that excuse someone from Bomb for not getting back to you immediatly?. Lighten up and give her a call back. She is probably up to her eyebrows with forms and people/dealers who just didn't fill out the forms right, didn't sign it correctly, didn't know if they wanted the money or the warranty, didn't get the paperwork into Bomb on the LAST DAY, .................... As a dealer, I had to spend the last night of the promotion (past 10 pm.), faxing back all my paperwork for all the motors I had sold, in order to beat the deadline! Bomb said they would NOT accept ANY after that date so I had better get them in!!! No excuses..... Just give them a call. However, I suspect that they (the dealer) should have gone to bat for you sooner!! It really is not Bombs fault that he did not! So don't blame them! Remember, their are millions of dollars on the table. It needs to be administer'd correctly and lawfully!!! Tell the dealer to make you happy, or at least happier than you are now!!! BTW, if you "purchased" the boat on the 15th, then that's the day the contract should say! Just rewrite it to say so! I have written may a contract based on a telephone call though the customer didn't come into the store 'till two weeks later! No ones trying to rip off anyone, just taking advantage of the offers provides as a selling incentive!! BUT, these offers are time senisitive!!! Isn't that the point??
