Recent purchase working my way thru what's working and not working

Gauge cluster
Tac gauge working , ( not bright )
Speed gauge blank screen ,
discovered ground wiring ,
cleaned reconnected and see zeros ( not bright )

Noticed a number of wires not connected and questing WHY ?
TWO BLUE - one of of each gauge
goes too 4 prong harness , single end off harness , blue, goes too nothing ?
Color chart indicates back light , can this go into red , yellow , green , that have empty cavities or run directly too hot ? or not necessary ?
ALSO - two remaining wires not connected too anything , white off of speed gauge ,
White with blue stripe ,
thanks

blue is for dash lighting

lighting wiring is usually separate. use google to find your gauge and find the documentation that goes for it.

Have you any idea as to the model of the motor or the type of gauges that you have?

Might look something like this:

Blue is for the lights. Red is battery power. I would not think that you would want the lights to be on all of the time.

Lights are normally turned on by the key being turned on or by a separate light switch, as shown in the diagram.

Blue direct to yellow if no switch or blue to yellow through an on/off switch.

there is a place that you send the gauges to to have then renewed,
But I cannot think of the name right off
