How it going?

I have a couple questions regarding my 2000 Ficht 75. Yesterday I was out fishing, having a good time till my outboard started hesitating/bucking and then the check engine light came on. After I turned the outboard off and started it back up the check engine light was off and did not come back on for the rest of the trip. The outboard was however sluggish and was still hesitating. I just had my 20 hour service and during that service they also decarboned the engine and said everything was alright. Going back over my service record it said that they checked the plugs during the 20 hour check and they were good but they did not replace them. Could it be the plugs? Even though the check engine light went off is there a code still stored in the memory? Can I take this to any evinrude dealer for warranty work? I like my dealer, however there is a dealer right down the street from my house that is very reputable as well.

Thanks and have a great week!
Ficht Guy
