Have been on here a bit and found a ton of useful info. Thought I would post up some of the pics of my mariner I picked up last October. I got it right during the duck season so had little to no time to do much with it other than paint and new power before I hit the salt with it.

This was bringing it home. Had a 1993 saltwater merc on it when I bought it.

I no more than got it home and started some paint and then decided on repower for safety since I guide with the boat.

Pic bringing it home with new power, 150hp Honda.

More paint.

That was about as far as I got last season with it. I just pulled all of the foam out of the boat. That was great fun as everyone that has done it can attest to. Using dock billets and noodles to re-foam. Previos owner had replaced the floor with marine board which is basically 1/2 inch textured cutting board. Nice stuff but he left the foam. Lucky me. I also ripped out the front deck since this is primarily a hunting boat. I moved the console to the side and back some to give more room for layout boats and hunters. I will probably replace the console soon with a smaller one than factory to gain a bit more room.

That looks like a sweet rig, and fast with a 150 on the stern!

With the 4 blade on she goes about 38 with a load of hunting gear and a couple guys. Course depends if I am bucking the tide or not too. When they sea trialed her they could get 44mph out of her with just two guys and no gear in her with a three bladed prop. I chose the four bladed for the low end grunt.

Very nice. I really like that paint scheme. Sweet repower, Honda makes a great motor. She must leap up on plane.

That was one thing I was super impressed with, it just about pops out of the water for such a big boat.

It is an 89. I finished up putting foam in yesterday. Just fabbing up some stuff for the hatch in the floor. Be glad to get it back on the water for sure.

I want to say STRIPERS! They'll think he's a large silver bunker!

Seriously though that is a cool color setup. I've not seen anything like that before. Definitely better looking than green camo setups I've seen in the past.

Yeah the colors work good on the ocean. I use the boat mainly as a tender for layout and ledge hunting but occasionally gun right out of the boat.
