Hello everyone.

I just bought my 1st Tracker boat today. I sold the 1978 18.6 Cane Cutter bass boat that had turned into a major project and this morning I purchased a 2009 Tracker Pro 16. It's just the right size for the wife and I. Not too big and not to small. It came with the Mercury 30HP EFI which should be plenty for the two of us.

The dealer here hasn't been able to keep them in stock. He had 3 back in March and they all sold in a week. He got 3 more in last week and I wandered in there today and snatched one of them up. He had 6 contact cards of people wanting this model but that hadn't called him back yet.

She still had the factory shipping cover on her and they're going to get her prepped and ready for me to pick up on Tuesday. We're real excited about her. She's the first new boat we've ever owned.

Welcome to the forum and Tracker Boats!
I'll complete my first year of Tracker ownership in July. Have been completely satisfied with it (see sig).

WAIT!

Is it the Pro Guide V-16 SC model? If so, it's rated for a max of 75hp and i wouldn't go with anything less than a 50hp or, better yet, a 60hp.

Beleive me, a 30hp is way too underpowered and you'll have all kind of issues.

Edit: Forget it, i saw there's also a Pro 16 bassboat model with a flatter hull rated for max 30hp, so you're fine.

Yes sir, it's supposed to be a new model for 2009. It comes stock with a 25HP but our local dealer orders them with the 30HP.

I'm jealous! You have the extra storage compartment in the main floor. I'm ready to get my Skil saw out and make me one!

I've really enjoyed using my V 16ner. Heck of a nice multi-species fishing platform. I'm sure you're enjoying your's, also!

after re-reading his post i think he has the pro-team 16 and it is max rated for 30hp.

This is the 09 Tracker Pro 16 w/Mercury 30HP EFI outboard. We took her out this past weekend for the outboard break in. Saturday only an hour on water as front blew storms in, lake got choppy real fast. Spent Sunday afternoon on lake with her.

i almost got that one. the wife didnt like the seats but they didnt bother me much so our boat choice was driven more by the wife and the seats than anything lol. i really liked the fishing deck layouts on the pro-16 but i was over-ruled on it and we went with the pro-guide.

congrats on yours they are aweful damn nice boats and they dont break the bank on ya. the hulls are super tough.
