Re: flooding
I have the same motor and it used to flood all the time. In fact, it took me being towed back in 4 times until I figured out how to start it! I'm slow, but can be taught!

Does the motor run ok when it runs normally? Are you able to start it when it is flooded? If not, read on...

It may not be the same problem as yours, but mine seemed to flood every time I changed the fuel tank, or started it warm with the choke. If you can't get it started when it is flooded, try turning it over with the throttle wide open. I have to remove the cowling and manually hold the carb open while my wife starts it. It only takes a second, and I immediately let go of the throttle. Everything worked fine after that. Good Luck!
