The manual says there are three basic designs. 1 pc. shaft/single port exhaust: 1984-1989: (60,80,125 hp), 2 pc. shaft/ single port exhaust(90 thru 150hp), and 2 pc. shaft/Dual port exhaust (90 thru 150hp). This motor is missing the serial tag, but mine definately has a two piece shaft (It kinda freaked me out when i took off the lower end and it came out of the shaft spline connector), water intake is aligned with prop shaft centerline, and the drain and vent plugs are screws with washers (gaskets). In my manual it says thats either an "A","B","C", or "D". depending on if it has dual port exhaust or not. How can you tell a dual port exhaust from a single port exhaust model? I dont see a clear difference looking at the exploded view of the unit. Sorry to ramble but I need to be sure which kind I have so I can try to replace it. (the lower driveshaft is seized from a water leak! I opened up the drain and nothing but water came out! Ouch! Any info I can get would be greatly appreciated.
