Re: Forum hostility
Yep ........Jay I would bet QC torpedoed the thread..........I will miss your updates.........I along with many others really enjoyed checking up to see whats new with its affects on folks.............I guess you are right.........When you are a forum God you can do what you want with your forum.........They will prob delete me next.............if so..... Goodbye to All ......... it was good while it lasted............
Whether you get banned or not, is entirely up to you. The rules of this forum are posted and they are clear. No one says you can't have an opinion and no one says you can't present
facts, as long as they are reasonably well researched and likely to be true.
Really, its a matter of self control. If you stay away from politics, religion and libelous statements, you are probably going to be OK. Its also a matter of alllowing yourself to be monitored. As I mentioned previously, I made a post the other night, that was pretty stong. I had a day on the water before that, looking for oil and didn't find any. That was great, because I really expected to find some. After that, I found out something that really burned me and I was sitting at my desk, trying to relax and calm down. Unfortunately, I came in here and the keys just started clicking. Every word of what I wrote was true, and frankly, was stuff that needs to be said, but it would not have been helpful in this context.
That post never made it to the forum - why I don't know, but it probably was "poofed." If so, I am fine with that, because really all that would have happened is a friend saying, "jay, take a breath, come back when you are over it." In general life we do that for one another every day and I accept it here.
This can be a fun place, or it can be a place that you
used to go - its up to you.
That said, I hope you'll do the things that will make you a valued member of the iboats forums.
