Spinner.....Yup we replied about the same time.

I just made a suggestion via "contact us" to not permit a new member PM privledge until they have 20 posts. This will cut back on the spammers.

Excellent idea! Many sites I visit have a similar rule.

Hey Bob, I just checked and the 2 I checked on that had sent porn, join in August of 2007. Why wait a year to start this.
I think we have an invader from what I can see.
ducks1 even posted back in 2007 about a Ted Williams engine.

Just got back from my vacations, opened the forum and found a simular message in my private messages. Immediate deleted the message, forgot the name but i noticed his membership since 2007....

Yes, that is what I am seeing, members from over a year ago is doing it.
The IT guy from iboats has been called in to see what is going on.
If anyone gets any, please let me know.

The required number of posts before PM's are allowed is a great idea.

It don't matter if there is a virus on the server and it duplicating itself.
The one PM that I was sent by another member that got it contained a Trojan. My Avast caught it but if it is loose on the server, look out.

I got one today, for a porn site, from "edshred" join date June 2007, 2 posts.

I see in the comments below that I can report it by clicking on the little traingle but when I view the message there is no little traingle visible.

I got one too. Emailed Tashasdaddy about it, so I assume you have heard about it spinner, but in case you didn't, the member was drkristie, who has one post, and the PM title was Tube Trick.

Got one, went to delete and it opened before I could click the delete button. Exploded into several linked sites.
Just come back on after doing a full scan. My system blocked a lot of trojans and worms etc. Now deleted.

Thanks for the swift response to my PM, Spinner and TD. I never did understand what excitement people get out of spamming or writing trojans and viruses. It is a shame to waste such talent on such lowlife behavior.
