I will be ariving there at about 12pm on Friday the 6th. I hope that there will be a few slips open so I can leave my boat in. Also do we have any signs marking where we are all staying? or are we just playing it by ear?

Gonna try to set up in the group area along the water just west of the big boat ramp.

If not there, the area south of the boat ramp.

Will make a sign.
Will also leave a note near the entrance.

I will have a black Blazer, black trailer, small boat, with a big black anchor on the back.

Sounds Great Roscoe. I will be driveing my Wife's Avalanche and Will be pulling our Green Searay. So if you see an Idiot lost just yell. I feel it would be helpful if we all could post what we are driving that would be helpful. If your already there Oh well.

Looks like I'm in the same boat as Ralph. The company my wife works for has recently opened a new store and they're management team is spread so thin she's not able to get off right now. It never fails, make plans that never happen. Have a good time guys and be safe.

Well, sorry to hear that you guys can't make it.

Ralph, I was kind of hoping to get your opinion on the latest modifications to the boat.
What modifications? Well lets just say it required a new steering cable, which I finally got installed at 7 pm tonight, after driving all over trying to get one, after the one I ordered was delivered damaged.
Got the tach and water pressure gauge, and the dash panel in yesterday.

I think I have it all together correctly. But no time to test it, till I get to the lake tomorrow.

Just finished mounting the flag mast.

I hope to be at the campground by 3 tomorrow.

Dang that sucks RP! I was looking forward to meeting one of the guys that makes me laugh my arse off both here and the other forum. Perhaps another day.

roscoe and musky, we'll see you there late Friday. We packed a bunch of stuff today and will continue tomorrow evening. I'm hoping to be out of Minneapolis by 5PM Friday.

OK, here is the update.
Muskyone and I got here Wed afternoon.
The camping areas near the launch were pretty packed, as was the area west of the launch along the water.

So, we opted to go to the new expansion area, along the lake to the southwest.

So..... Stop at the registration office, ask for a brochure, and ask them to show you the map. Mention iboats, or give them my name ( rod dassow).
We are in a large group site near site #270, which should hold all of us.
There is electric, bring extension cords.

This is a ways from the launch area, but was the best option when we arrived. It allows us to be in one area, and gives us a bit more privacy.

Also, bekosh did show up Thurs evening while we were out fishing, didn't see him, but did locate his truck in the launch area.

So what did I miss?

I tried to be there, but our Jeep lost a wheel just east of Osseo, WI on our way there Friday evening about 9:15. What a crappy weekend it turned out to be. No one was hurt, that's the important thing. No damage to the boat, either, thank goodness. The Jeep was not so fortunate. It has some fairly substantial cosmetic damage around the fender well, and I'm not sure on the mechanical aspect yet. The Ford dealership in Osseo still has it. Hopefully I'll know more tomorrow. I can't wait to get the bill for the repairs and towing.

At least we were packed for camping. We had enough food and clothes for the weekend until we could get a game plan together to get the boat and all our stuff home. We're all safe and sound now, but I' still need to drive back to Osseo to pick up the Jeep and return the rental car.

Hopefully next year will be better luck for us.

I got there mid afternoon on Saturday and hooked-up with Muskyone, Bekosh, and of course Roscoe. Drank way too much and had a blast (from what I am able to recall ). Kinda weird meeting old friends for the first time. Too bad more couldn't be there. Sh** happens! Already looking forward to Next Year. Thanks again, Roscoe.

Unfortunately, there were more than a few no-shows.
But those that made it, had a good time.

The lake is big.
The waves were big at times.
The sand beaches were nice.
The campground was crowded, so we hid in the back.
The slips were nice.
Muskyone wore a lifejacket in my boat, I don't know why.
Caught a few fish.
The heat was sweltering, had to stay on or in the water.
bekosh's boat is nice to follow thru big waves.
Skiuseme's boat is too shiny.
Someone's car burns a lot of oil.
Willy, where did you and your ex-wife spend your honeymoon?

Sorry for your mishap sanger, glad you are all ok.
Pointer, I hope your family emergency is not too serious.
