I like the potluck idea as well... I've never done a potluck at a campground: should be interesting! Roscoes theory is a good one, bring your own meat, and bring a dish to pass. What are some ideas on dishes to pass?<br /><br />I won't be getting up there until late afternoon on Friday. I am going to be either taking friday off or working a 1/2 day, haven't completely decided yet. I know my wife has to work a full day so she is going to be coming up later in the evening.<br /><br />Tis going to be a slower ride for me... I can't really top 60 MPH with my boat on the back of my Jeep and haven't really taken it on any long trips yet; so I'll be on pins and needles the whole time. I'll be travelling up convoy style with my bro and friend as well as their significant others.

I like to bring either a fruit cake or a three bean salad. Because nobody likes either one you can bring the same one to over 20 pot lucks before they start molding and you have to get another.

only 20 pot lucks? Lance Nesta of waukesha wi had a 43 year old fruit cake he rediscovered in his mother's attic, that his aunt had sent him in 1962.It still looked like the day he recieved it.<br />javsam

Well, doesn't look like I'll have my boat done by the time this comes around. Fundage has been running short for the boat as of late.<br /><br />But I still plan on coming, though my friend is a moron, and forgot about this day. So he booked something else that he can't get out of now.<br /><br />So I have extra room at my site if anyone needs it!<br /><br />BTW, $50 for a non-resident license!?! I think I'll claim my aunt's home and make me a resident. <br /><br />I'm pretty rusty on the fishing(it's been YEARS), so I'll need to soak up some expert advice.

I will be there maybe friday night but early saturday at worst. My dad and mom will be using the site thursday and friday. You can determine if my problems are nature or nurture by stopping over at site 18 b4 friday night. <br /><br />Sanger, tough break bro. Wait all winter for the season and zilch. Sorry to hear, but take care of yourself and maybe salvage something late in the season.<br /><br />I would bring a dish to pass but maybe finger food might be better for Roscoe. I would bring a fruit salad, serve it all day and for dinner and spike with vodka for evening consumption. I will keep my eye on the thread to see if this materializes.<br /><br />Alternator in boat took a dump this weekend so my steak dreams are looking more like hamburger now. Less than three weeks, I am psyched.

Thanks for the laughs and well wishes guys. I do appreciate it. My mood has been kinda foul lately when I'm not in a narcotics and/or alcohol induced buzz. I've got a lot of crud passing through my small brain. <br /><br />One of my very good ski buds says it's likely I only strained my MCL. I say I ripped it. I can feel stuff move around in my knee if I move just wrong.<br /><br />I'm still bringing my boat no matter what. My wife is a very good boat/vehicle helper, so I'm pretty sure we'll have no problems there. She can back the trailer down all by herself quite well. I may have some issues getting in and out of the boat, but we'll have to see how my knee is then. Depends on if I need surgery and when that happens date wise.<br /><br />I'm also still bringing most of my ski stuff. Even if I don't need surgery, I doubt I'll be ready for skiing by then. I'll be counting on all of my fellow iboaters to make sure some of the stuff gets used a little. I'll be more than happy to be the designated towboat driver

Darn sanger... that just plain sucks!! <br /><br />If we're going to rebuild him - we need to make sure we use marine approved equipement here!! He isn't going to last 1 week with alum plate, duct tape and drywall screws.<br /><br />Nah, we need stainless plates, fiberglass and epoxy!

Well secured my spot today. #17 is my home Friday and Saturday. Brother and I will pull in about noon. Leavn Sunday to go to the homestead. Any one who wants to are welcome to come up and do some fishn with us Will be there for about two weeks and the old homestead sleeps six. <br /><br />Think I will stay in the main house this year now that I know Eurolarva is coming up. He sure has some windpipes on the snoring side..

I've got one electric staple gun, one old school Stanley, and a new "aircraft Al" lightweight staple gun. PLUS! I have a new grinder I need to try out... take off some rough edges.

<br /><br />gonfishn, you don't want to be near my site? <br /><br />I was gonna set the small tent up on site 14.<br />But if you are gonna need it, I will set it up on 17 for you.<br /><br />I set it up last week to make sure it was all there.<br />Its fine, but smaller than I remembered, or maybe I just got bigger. <br /><br />Will sleep 2 comfortably, but not much room for extra gear.
