A lightly loaded motor spinning 7000, throttled back to 5500 is going to be running lean, hot, and with less oil from the leaner fuel mix.

That motor is the same as the 850Xs race motor less lower unit low water intakes and it will make about 85hp at prop @6000-6500 RPM, Prop it closer to 6000PRM for best performance.( ran my I6 150 @ over 7000rpm for years)

Who in his right mind would like to run a motor at 7K for "recreational purposes" when it's max rated to run at 5.5K at full hammer down. If at 5.5 K already screams high, wouldn't imagine screaming at 7K. If backing throttle from 7K to 5.5K the motor will run good with 0 issues as 50:1 ratio is indicated to run any engine at it's max wot rpm range as factory stated. You can run a motor premixed to 50:1 at 7K for a very short time period of expect a kaboon latter, very bad musique!!
