Keep in mind that CG compliance depends on the installer, too... even if the components/kit are CG compliant out of the box, if you install it you have to do so in a compliant way.
The only way to avoid all that headache is to go with a marine shop for the install that will do it correctly then inspect it and provide a guarantee.
The main reason we decided against an FI upgrade for the big boat (dual chryslers) that I crew on is that it buys only a percentage of horsepower for nearly the cost of a new engine... it makes more sense to go with a pair of newer, bigger engines instead.

Ah, yes. I know the company well. I have been in correspondence with them for some time. Their systems are not CG approved, but they do sell various (approved) compnents. This leaves the compliance up to the installer. While something like this does not intimidate me, I would prefer to purchase something approved as an assembly--particularly with me having to buy TWO of 'em.....
