the boat i bought new had a 115 4 stroke 2007 yamaha but i quickly sold that and bought a carb 150 OMC johnson the fuel lines going from the gas tank to the fuel filter is from the 4 stroke 115 even tho i have a 150 carb 2 stroke on there.the outboard seems to run fine. but are the fuel lines from the 115 yamha smaller?should they be changed?could it be hurting perfomance?

Re: fuel line help

The Yamaha was fitted with am 8mm hose which is equal to 5/16". V-6s should have 3/8" line.

Re: fuel line help

It should not have much effect we are only talking about 1/16".

How is the fuel pump on the 150? You are going to have to start from scratch.

Compression
Carbs cleaned
Spark

Do you have a primer bulb? Try pumping the bulb at WOT throttle and see if that makes a differance. If it does then it is the fuel pump.

Just for fun go to the larger fuel line ..... they are not that much money.
