Fuel Line Problem

I have a 1992, Force Outboard 120HP. The engine will run fine at WOT for about 2 min, then begin to bogg down before dying. I noticed the primer bulb is fully deflated, and when it is manually pumped, the engine will run fine. The fuel pump and carbs are brand new, compression test was good at 140. There is no evidence of moisture in the gas. Any ideas of where the problem in the fuel line could be, or anyone have a similar problem?

Flat bulb=vacuum behind it. Check vent line for obstruction or kinks, muddaubers like to nest in opening. Pickup tube with debris in tank blocking it.

Hello, I'm from Basque country in Europe. Sorry for my bad inglish.
I have the same problem with my 1996 Force 120hp. When I start the engine it runs great about 2 minutes and then it dies. But when I noticed that the engine is dying if I pump the bulb manually it go on without problems.
I am going to connect to an external fuel tank to rule out problems in fuel line (Bulb, vent line,...).
If you find a solution please let us know.

Yours sounds like a different problem.
Like the fuel pump isin't working.

I just went through the same thing. Replace your fuel lines from the motor to where it goes into the hull, if you have a built in tank. The ethanol in todays fuel will eat the inside lining of the older hose. Mine was a Mercury fuel line and the inside was plugged almost solid from the inner liner peeling away and blocking it all up. I re-used my primer and it all runs fine. Mine started with WOT for about 1 min then dying down until the fuel pump could refill the carbs, then it started doing the same at half throttle. Fuel line is cheap at the local hardware store!!

That was for the OP not the guy from Europe. No France does not have Ethanol in their Petrol, lol!

To the original poster, sounds exactly like you have no vent in your fuel tank. Fix that issue and you will fix your problem as well...

To the second poster, you sound like your fuel pump is shot. Either rebuilt yours or buy a new one...
