You should be able to remove the seat cushions and reach up behind the cap.... should find the seat back bolts under there.

The rub rail should pop out of the track with a small screwdriver....a heat gun/blow dryer to warm the rubber up first makes it more pliable.

I'm riggin up the garage to be a boat shop.
Questions / Process: I am going to drill out the rivets in the side bumper strip to pop the cap off, when I put it back on will I be able to buy/find another bumper strip for it? How much hardware will I need to save I'm guessing I can find everything to replace anything basically, I want new and can buy it. Thanks guys, I'll post pics tomorrow will be taking the cap off with supports and have a rig set up in the garage to lift and store cap overhead with ratchet straps so I can lower when I need to.

Have you taken and recorded all your measurements? Very important before removing the cap. If the rubber in the rail is still fexible and usable you can clean it up and reuse it. If not you should be able to find it but it is kinda pricey. Save all your hardware. It's not as easy to find as you might think.

Thanks Wood, I haven't popped the top yet, drilled a couple rivets and thought I'd hold off till today. The rubber was in decent shape but a 5-6" chunk had been shredded off at some point so it's missing but I'm definetly keeping everything just in case. Keeping everything but the rotten wood and nasty carpet ;).

Here's the fiberglass cap and hull at transom, this is where they meet together. All that was here was some stainless steel riveted together over the joints. I wonder if water could had gotten in. LMAO, ROFL at the quality of how this boat is, if they wanted to drill a hole in this boat, they just drilled and screwed it in, nothing in the hole to stop water penetration and this joint is pothedic. I want to, when I put it back together make this joint look and work better so that water can not get in.

Yeah, I'm thinking you'll prolly do a much better job than the Factory did, when you put her back together. That should give you hope since she lasted this long with that shoddy workmanship, when you put the final touches on her, just think how long she'll last with proper care and maintenance.;)

Hello! Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas! I've returned and am glad and surprised to see you are all still here. Since my lasts posts I landed a better job, got married and have the dream home and shop big enough to build a cruise liner. I want to thank everyone for their help, I now have the time to start working on the little trihaul and will be on frequently if not daily.
