When I changed the oil before Winter I overfilled with about a half court or less. Well I planned on taking some out in the spring however I did not deal with it until about a week ago(put 20 hours on the boat). The dipstick defenetly showed oil levels above the full mark.

Okay so I pumped some oil out to get just below the full mark on the dipstick. I smelled the dipstick, the oil I pumped out, and down the one of the valve covers where the oil fill cap is. All of those location smelled like gasoline. The motor is starting and running great.

I would appreciate some feedback on how to resolve the issue.

Do I need to replace the fuel pump?
Is there gas in my oil because I overfilled with oil and put 20 hours on it this way?

It's very possible the fuel pump is leaking into the crankcase. It won't affect the running of the engine with just a small leak, unless the gas in the pan ignites, then it get exciting.
