Heard on the radio this morning that over the Memorial Day weekend, the Long Island Sound is usually full of power boats cutting up the waves. This year, they said barely a power boat was in sight and the vast majority of boats were sail boats. The news went on to say that there was outstanding sail boat weather this weekend that may have accounted for the influx of sail boats. Apparently most power boats were either tied up at the marina, or anchored off swimming beaches, but not under power.
At over $4.30 a gallon, marina gas and diesel prices have caused power boats to be docked or moored.
BUT NOT MY 40HP TWO CYLINDER 14FT MFG! THAT BABY WILL BE OUT ALL DAY! SMALL BOATS RULE! WOO HOO!
