Hi everyone!Just finnished the overhaul of my outdrive, renewed gears, bearings, seals etc. While test driving at about 3200 rpm I placed hand on the cap of the upper unit and it felt hot but still possible to bear.Took the boat out ,released the tension(took out a shim) of the upper bearing slightly and tried again -felt slightly cooler ,but not much.May be that much heat is normal. It cools down immediately when the boat stops and the wake hits the stern and doesn`t seem to heat up before gettin on plane .Thanks for reading and i will expect your in sights!
