Some of those shots and pushes were cheap.

I'll quote a line I agree very much with.. "I'll only shoot a man in a fair fight.. or if I think it might become a fair fight"

If I'm ever in a fight.. I'll be sure to pull hair, grab groins, throw sand, whatever it takes. I'm not fighting to lose.

All of that said, if he looks like most of the guys fighting in that video.. I'm running away :D

Re: Giving boaters a bad name!!!

First of all, I like to drink beer, so I am NOT a "T-Totaler". BUT, I don't go to places like a "Party Cove", because for one, I don't want to be tied up to a boat, in the middle of a bunch of boats, and want to leave. Second, of all, I don't want a bunch of drunks walking through my boat not giving a damn about the seats, or dropping ashes, spilling drinks in my boat. Third, that many people in a group at least 2 of them will have ego's so big that they are going to errupt. And last but not least, I go boating to get away from crowds, not be in the middle of them !!!!!!!

OH, and NO there are NO DRINKS EVER IN MY BOAT !!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder what caused that. Some of those shots and pushes were cheap.

I would suspect the highly volatile mix of scantily clad women, copious amounts of testosterone and a generous sprinkling of alcohol.

I have to say I am absolutely fascinated with those clips. I can't help but keep watching them over and over again. Who lives their lives like that? Am I 'out of the loop'? 'living a sheltered life'? What could possibly have been said or done that resulted in so many people absolutely losing control?

I just watched that again and they are the most pathetic people around. That is the last place I would want to hang out.

1 part Alcohol
1 part hot sun
29 parts *******

Makes a nice douchebag stew now doesn't it?

I was a bartender for years, and man do I NOT miss those days, getting physical with these hot shots. Most of those muscle heads are PUSSIES when it comes down to it. :D

I enjoy rafting up with my iboats friends, but they all have sense and are mellow, relaxing, you know, the whole spirit and essence of this hobby!

I will not raft up with a big crowd, ever. You seem captured when you tie up that many.

To be honest, my wife, my boat, and anchor in a cove, I am in paradise.

Don't get me wrong, I drink. I like going places where there are at least a couple people present, but like previously mentioned, I will not be the middle boat when people want to tie up and meander all over everyone else's boats. If I go with my friends, and their boat is tied up, that is one thing, 'cause typically we'll leave together.

My perfect scenario on the boat: Don't care who's around (just leave me the heck alone), me sitting in the bow of the boat, waves rocking it slightly, music of my choice turned on (new favorite song: "Toes" by Zac Brown band), Corona or Dos Equis in one hand, a smoke in the other, and a nice sunny afternoon. BTW, if I have more than four beers, I do not drive the boat. Especially since Florida's on some huge campaign right now about how buzzed driving is drunk driving.

I wonder who the DD's were for all those people. . .

I've been to many of those "sandbar" parties in Miami and Islamorada. Some times people get drunk and want to fight. Most of the time, its just near naked women and lots of alcohol fun. :)

If I understand the video correctly, the guys causing all of the trouble were not from either of those boats. That would upset me.

Interesting vid of roid rage.
When pirates board my boat they get a look at a 1911.
But then again that's why there are no pirates in WI anymore.

There isn't any place I'd want to be further away from than that. Don't be too quick to judge tho...just young, drunk, stupid kids fighting. I was young once...

Just because we did stupid things too, doesn't mean it's right.

Where do these "kids" (they look like 20 somethings) get boats like that?

Mommy and Daddy have a lot of money and never spent any time with there kids, they bought toys instead.

I saw this 30 years ago when I was in high school and college, and I've seen it ever since, now the toys are just bigger.

I just don't see, and never have seen, where the enjoyment is in "being there"

Ah, Jobbie Nooner, the pride of southeast Michigan

This is an infamous annual event, with lots of drunkenness, nudity and of course fighting. About 20 years ago or so, autoworkers playing hookey the last day of work before the July factory shutdown started hanging out there in their boats, and Jobbie Nooner was born. Never been to one, and I sure don't plan to now. But when I was younger me and my friends used to talk about going, just for morbid curiosity and sightseeing. ;)

Nope, not Jobbie Nooner...though one would/could have a tough time determining which is which. This happened on 'Muscamoot bay' at what is referred to as the 'Gauntlet'. Jobbie Nooner is held at 'Gull Island'...both outstanding parties when the Knuckleheaded drunks are contained. Don't let a couple of vids showing drunk az's, influence your thoughts of Michigan boaters...These type of idiots usually are someone's guest, who have no clue on how to behave in a boating enviroment...probably in any enviroment as far as that goes.

Ok, Boat Teck's "arial view" link, which was to Jobbie Nooner, led me astray. Never even heard of "The Gauntlet". Thanks for setting me straight, Kenny. Sounds like you know yer boat parties...firsthand experience...? ;)

Nice job defending us Michigan boaters, by the way. Well said.

Wow... the funny thing is that they are all trying so hard to flex and look intimidating, that they can't really throw a punch!
