Re: Good Boat names

We saw one called "Sand Seeker". My wife was like "huh, you'd think you'd want to avoid that with a boat."

Re: Good Boat names

I rebuilt a 16' Alum Gregor, which was given to me by a buddy in Calif., as my retirement project. His last name as Law. So naturally I named it Murphy's Law. It's become appropriate as now that I'm retired I don't have the time to get it wet much !

Re: Good Boat names

My last name begin's with Lipp and I have been Lipp all my life (dad was Lipp so I was Lil Lipp now I'm 42) so it just made sense to me to name my boat "Wet Lipps", Now I am on "Wet Lipps II" Wife was not very happy but she didn't find out until we took the first boat out and she jumped off the stern into the water, when she came up she found the new graphics! It has since grown on her once she got her mind out of the gutter!

Re: Good Boat names

Since I traded a perfectly good motorcycle for this not so perfect boat, I think I'll name it

Miss Mybike

Re: Good Boat names

I am naming my 1973 Glastron for the manner in which i recieved her.

"With Permission"

seemed fitting.

Re: Good Boat names

Have two boats both home built.
The first was named after a fumble fingered mistake my then to be wife had made one night while we were msg-ing each other on the computer as we lived in different states at that time. She was talking about a pet bird she used to have and when she attempted to write flippin bird the cursor on her laptop suddenly jumped back and the the word flirdippin b came out.

If seemed fitting to name our first boat after it.

our second boat (a 16 ft yellow and brown canoe) we named the Dirty Banana
after her favorite drink in Jamaica

Re: Good Boat names

"Honey Bea" is a play on my wife's nick name the the boat color. Boat - yellow black trim, bees' - yellow black trim. Wife's name Belinda and she is sweet. Thus "Honey Bea".

Re: Good Boat names

My wife named our boat "Feelin' Nauti".

My father has a 20' Bentley pontoon, for his boat it's a toss up between "My 20' Deck" and "Del Boca Vista" (Seinfeld reference).

Re: Good Boat names

Mine was

Sea-Ya

Is what an exchange student said she was going to say to us at the airport instead of crying and getting all mushy. Well she said "See Ya" and then broke down completely.

Re: Good Boat names

"Fukenengruven Marinschiff" :which translates to the "make love and party boat " in a made up lingo which might be at first glance mistaken for German until you sound it out. ;)
