I am looking for a boat name. I like classic rock and classic cournty music. I like science fiction, dragons, turtles, and hippos.
A great boat name relates to something you love or believe in, or some characteristic of your boat/life.

Before you name it remember on thing. It's extermely bad luck to change a boats name!. Take a look at the BoatUS website, they have a list of boat names that have been registered with them. You might consider keeping it unique in both spelling and sound just incase you ever put a VHF radio in it. VHF radios have an emergency feature that transmits a unique ID and the registered boat name. Responders typically use the boat name when attempting to render assistance.

"Agamemnon"-name of the ship in Alien and/or "River horse", which is what hippopotamus translates to from the Greek. There's always "Slave 1" the name of Boba Fett's ship from Star Wars. "Nautilus" and/or "Enterprise" are also great names with rich traditions (20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Star Trek). "Erasmus" was the name of the ship that the character John Blackthorne landed in Japan in the book/movie Shogun. (based on real life English sailor William Adams who became marooned on Japan and remained there in the service of Tokugawa Iyesu until his death. There is still a small village with a grave site and street named after him in Nagasaki prefecture). Staying with the Japanese/Sci-Fi theme, you could always go with "Kobayashi Maru" the name of the infamous unbeatable star fleet training scenario that Kirk beats. I'll try to think of some others with.....
