Good I/O setup for repower

That does it, I have been refining and tuning my omc turbojet to where it runs as best it can. Was a great fishing boat until last weekend when some *#!@ head stole the drive off the back of my boat. Just replaced all the bearings and a new 700 dollar impeller to boot.

Anyways I am now considering a complete retro of the drivetrain and would like something of a smaller v6 setup of I/O. They never should have put a 115 turbojet in a 18'jetcraft yukon hull anyways. Just a bit too much hull for that squirt gun.

Does anyone have any suggestions pertaining to a good reliable setup. I guess a v4 could be an option but I am not sure what the range of hp is. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not familiar with an OMC Turbojet... but if the transom cutout is the same, then I would recommend finding a good used Mercrusier 4.3 with an alpha drive. That's IF you want to keep the boat. It may be easier and more cost efficient to find another boat. :(

A 4.3 Mercruiser is a good 18' package, but will require hull mods to fit.
