I'm kinda mixed. The seating looks awfully clean and bright whereas the exterior not so much. Driver's seat looks odd too, usually has a back, but I know nothing of this brand. The water stain indicates it was mostly not covered and a low spot in the deck. Give it the bounce test and once again crawl underneath and check the deck!!!

Ya gotta kiss a lot of frogs! :0)

Geez, a "sea trial" would absolutely happen if I were serious about it. If the dealer wouldn't cooperate, ask to speak with the boat's owner.

I see a big red flag there. He should be more than willing. Makes no difference if it's his boat or not. That's how boats are sold.... in the water! Without that demo, potential for big problems way too big a risk. Kinda like buying a car or truck without starting it.....

If it is to be used in salt water you may need bottom paint. Just ensure that the present paint is not covering up corrosion.

Not concerned about bottom paint. I trailer my present boat and will trailer the pontoon also .Have had my present boat is the salt for 3 years and zero problems with the bottom.

I am pretty sure the drivers seat was folded down for them to get better pics of the helm. I will probably look at it on Saturdaqy and will be over, in and under everything.

A sea trial would be good, but sometimes you have to take a chance in life. If everything else checks out good I can live without a sea trial.

Like Mike & Frank say on American Pickers the time to buy it is when you see it.

I would run from that boat. Those toons are screaming leaks. At a MINIMUM require a pressure test of all the toons. If the boat leaks it won't float....then what have you got..a nice lawn ornament.
I had to scrap a toon i rebuild once because i was naive to the damage salt water does to pontoons...take my advise...wouldn't want someone to go down the route i did.

Sure on a <$800 boat......don't buy with emotion.....buy with logic! My .02

That is a good point. I will make sure they do a pressure test.

With all that crap on the toons I'd pass on this boat..It way to short for the price . Wait until October when people start packing up for the winter, It's like buying an new car at the end of the season. You should be able to get something a lot bigger and newer for around $10,000. With a bigger motor and trailer.Where do you live?

I live in SW Louisiana. I don't need a bigger boat, 21' is fine for us, and have no desire to pay 10k for one. Why does the bottoom paint on the toons scare you? Just because some has worn off over the years?

Have you gone and looked at this boat yet?

Will see it tomorrow. They checked the compression on the motor and got 130,135,130 and 130. I will have them check it again when I get there.

Great compression. Boat looks pretty good, especially for the price, but I too am concerned about the water line. I'd want a very good explanation of why it looks like that (there could be one), and I wouldn't even consider buying it without a sea trial. That said, have you considered driving a few hours for your purchase? There are iboaters all over the planet, many of whom (myself included) would be glad to help with the search, inspection and possibly even delivery. Increasing your search ratio by a few hundred miles would increase your options exponentially. There are barges in your price range between you and me (Little Rock) that look much better than what you seem to be finding down there. A few hours' drive could make a big difference and now is a good time to buy. Please let me know if I can do anything to help, and welcome to iboats.

One page 1, post #16, I posted a photo of where I think the water line actually is. I had to blow it up to find it. This one is 2 1/2 hours from me, almost in New Orleans. If I still need help finding one after seeing this one tomorrow I will certainly enlist some help. Being a little conservative, I have established a budget of $6,000. If I find one great, if not no major issue. Thanks for the welcome, but I have been here almost 3 years. :)

Ha! So you have! Sorry bout that! Guess it was true when the admiral said I don't pay attention, or something like that. When I mentioned the possibility of expanding your search I actually meant in the other direction.

I pretty much expanded my search area for all of Louisiana. The Admiral around here is always telling me I don't pay attention to half of what she says. I think 45% to 50% is pretty darn good! Of course she doesn't agree.

Well, if you decide you're willing to consider boats five or six hours away I think you'll find a pretty good selection. Happy hunting!
