Good step-dad curse....

So, instead of boating last Friday, I helped my step-daughter with her 80 year-old house remodel. Installing hard wood floors. No biggie, whack, whack, whack, Saturday's coming.

Saturday, They got a 36" exterior door, but have a 32" hole. Gut, reframe wall, install door. No prob, Sunday's coming.

Sunday, I'm eating spiderwebs in the 2' crawlspace, rerouting plumbing.
It's cool, I got Monday off!

Monday - Rain and whitecaps. A perfect time to install window, door, and base trim.

The good news, on my deathbed, I'll receive total consciousness. So I got that going for me, which is nice...

Yep, I'd rather crawl in the muddy crawlspace, with a 2' high ceiling, scary 80 year old wires laying about, futzing with dirty plumbing, than do ANYTHING ELSE related with DRYWALL.

I'd rather do basement work in an outhouse.

I don't know how big her house is or the exterior finishes @ the front door, but WOW!, you got a lot done in short time. When I'm hiring again, you're my first call.

I hate drywall too... but I'd take that over basement work in an outhouse.
