got timing close 200hp

i got the timing link on and got the timing close. going to take it to the lake and set the wot and idel timing. do i need to unhook the quick start on the lake to set the timing or just get the temp up and set it. what is the best rpm to set the wot on the lake 1990 200gt want to make sure #1 cyl, is on the right side

WOT timing is set at or very near to wide open throttle. Quick Start will only affect low speed timing, just wait for it to warm up. No need for a light on the low speed setting, just set it so the motor is running at about 650 in gear. The make sure all the linkage is set properly. Then check wot timing.

so i dont need to check it at low speed just set the rpm is number one cyl, on right side

i done that, i was going to check it on the lake at wot to make sure its good
