big secret for making them last longer on your hook... a drop of superglue on the jig hook before you slide it all the way up

Super Glue? You'd think the scent would cause less bites.

3 or 4" Gulp chartruese swimming mullet on a 1/2oz jig head with a 3/0 long shank gamakatsu is lethal for nearly every predator with fins in the Long Island inshore waters. Outfishes live bait regularly. We call it fluke crack!

Went out to Salmon Creek in Bodega Bay and fished the 2 inch camo sandworm and got a keeper red tail perch and a small halibut in about an hour. The tide went way out and the bites stopped, but I imagine if I get there on a good tide, it will be better. I can now vouch that the gulp camo worms on a Carolina rig works here too.

Anyone use "gulp alive" in the bucket? opinions?

I now do the bucket. I used to keep them in a jar so i could "recharge" the one on the line. I bought a bucket and just refill with a pack when it gets low. I've never noticed the super glue scent hurting bites. I have noticed the gulp sliding down over the hook hurting bites, and the sg fixes that

I went back today and didn't even have a chance. This weird mix of what looked like ground jelly fish, sea weed, and bird feathers, killed everything. My line was in the water for 30 seconds and it was pulling with a handful of this stuff. Oh well, I'm definitely going to get one of the buckets. It will save money in the long run.
