Re: Gun repair.......help.......
My dad said the pins are diff sizes (at least he thinks so) on each side (should only go in one way). I'm not sure about that.... let me take 5 steps to the two 10/22's that I have sitting in the den....

okay, the bolt pin is the large one, the two trigger assembly pins are smaller, they appear to go in either way, meaning they don't appear to be tapered. Your bolt stop pin can be galled by the slapping of the bolt, it can be burnished down to make it smoother. As for what to do.... I say nothing. There is little stress in this area... you're shooting a .22 caliber. There is an aftermarket plastic bushing that slides in the rear of the receiver that is supposed to reduce slapping against that pin... this might be a good idea if you are worried about it, as it would reduce the jarring. The rear of the receiver supports the bolt as it slides rearward, after the shot is made, I personally don't think it's a safety issue and I would shoot it forever that way.

The rear trigger pin only holds the trigger assembly in, and the rear bolt stop just stops the bolt... none of these parts are containing the burning powder charge.

Bye the way, mine has a tooling mark on the left of the receiver, between the two pins and below the bottom pin.

Keith
