I was reading about them and was wondering if anybody had used them.
i found a boat where the owner had died and his son wanted to sell it and they have no title.

I Googled my way across this post and was curious if you had had any luck with this.

I have two old motorcycles with no titles and was considering using these folks as I have had zero luck getting DMV to tell me how to go about it.

i've heard good and bad. they do what anyone can. take the id number to dmv, find out the last owner, then apply for lost title.

Actually, they work a little differently, at least as regards old motorcycles.

You send them a signed bill of sale, they apply for a title in NV, and then they "sell" it back to you. This would be useful to me for a couple of reasons, one being that I could never get anywhere with anyone at CA DMV, none of the bureaucratic fatasses down there ever wanted to do anything more difficult than issuing new tabs, and secondly, I'm not in CA anymore so that makes it even more difficult. NC DMV doesn't even want to touch this situation.

Since it essentially requires signing ownership over to them is the only thing keeping me from using them without hesitation. It'd suck ending up in a legal fight to regain "ownership" of your own vehicle.
