I agree with many comments about lack of experience. The OP's analogies are without warrant (flying, driving road rigs).
Flying is inherently safe (It is. Sorry. If you really fly, and you immerse yourself in the aerodynamics and engineering of flight, you will know this); Boating is inherently dangerous. I learned boating over a life time, and I am 44, and I have learned so many other things faster.
OP, you are ignoring your own advice anyway. You acknowledge SOME learning curve, albeit too short, and yet your first learnings will be on too much boat. Year one: Learn the ropes on a smaller vessel, and make all your mistakes to be little ones.
Yours is not the only life you are risking.

Size: You can live for a couple of weeks on something over 32', given it has the right layout.
Trailering: I think you are convincing yourself something is practical, when it is not, if you don't back down on size
