Don:
This is such a difficult question for any of us to try to help you with. It is like asking us which woman you should marry or date. Which car to drive. I don't know man, you aren't going to find your answer on this forum. Try Sister Swammee. On a serious note, go to as many boat shows as possible. Get an idea of which ones you like. Dont forget you gotta pay for it so you might as well get out the check book or hock the house. Then you got to keep it somewhere or trailer it. That is another check. Oh yeah, insurance. I guess you want us to answer that too. Is this brand better than that one. Who knows. Which is better this or that. Do your own evaluations, then come back and ask questions that we can help you with. This is a good forum,we'd love to help you.

He'll lurk; it's an inherent behavioral trait of anyone even remotely successful: He wants to know what we'll say about him.

So, that Fountain cruiser, which is completely untowable and not useful in shallow water, and that no one would want to drag a fish into: What are 'surface drives' that make them different than inboards?

About being towable and not good for shallow water, don't let the Texas Highway Patrol see it. They might want to buy it.Fits just perfect for the Rio Grande

I would buy 2 boats w that $$$$flow. One Offshore boat docked at the coast, and one that could be towed to "shallow rivers" or other inland waters relatively easy. I honestly cannot imagine towing a "nice?" 40-50+' boat very far, w any tractor, even on the interstates!............. unless I was paid alot to do it!
