OK, here's the latest update:<br /><br /> I finally got the exhaust plate off (after a couple broken bolts and a lot of patience). The bolts were severely corroded along with the inside of the outer plate. The gaskets were very corroded also.<br /><br /> OK, now that I have this off, what exactly am I looking for?? The inner plate is just a piece of metal (I guess??). On the powerhead side, there is some carbon build up but nothing that looks too awfully bad. What is it supposed to look like? I really don't have any idea.<br /><br /> With the gaskets being very corroded do you think that shows that water was passing through??
