Re: Help me name the Boat.

Personally, no one in my family has ever named any boat we've owned. Since you've asked, I would go with "Foobiehazzie".

1. It has the most significant personal meaning. Isn't boating about family and friends and getting away from it all? Then name it for that. No work related names - isn't that part of what you're getting away from on a boat?

2. You'll get the most inquiries about it "what the heck is that name all about anyway???". Could lead to great storytelling.

Thanks.....that's the one that kinda just struck me one day after thinking about it for months. It's definitely unique......we still don't know where she picked it up or how she came up with it. She remembers saying it, but doesn't remember where she came up with it......just kind of a funny word.

"Boat With No Name"

"I went on the water in a boat with no name..." (to the tune of "Horse with no name") :D

Century logo is a horse and it uses " The Thoroughbred of Boats" in it's advertising.

Re: Help me name the Boat.

lol, I like "Nauti Engineering" but maybe not for the happy christian family.

My wife made up the name for my boat, and it's still kind of "meh" even though it's a good name for it and we both know where the name came from. I still wish I thought of it myself, lol.

Sometimes Nauti....but forgiven! ;0

"Nauti...but Nice"

Do it up with some nice graphics too...like put the word 'Nauti' like it's floating on water, with a life preserver ring hanging off of the "t", and then put a set of wings and a halo on the word 'nice'. Get detailed with it, and put the word your daughter made up on the life preserver ring that is hanging on the "t". Some custom airbrush work would make this work nicely, instead of vinyl lettering.

Custom paint job is not in the budget right now.....just bought a new prop and prop shaft, lift motor for the lift.....just went to the grand canyon on vacation with the kids! Money's flyin outta the bank account these days....somebody plug the hole!

That airbrush work with a clear coat would only run you a couple hundred. Not much more than the vinyl to put a name on her with, and will look SO much better! IMO, of course :D

I'll have to look into to that....The guy making the decals is a supplier of the company I work for......don't expect it to cost much to do the name and the registration numbers.....I'll cover the cost of the material...but he's doing me a favor ;)

Sounds like you've got this part covered but just in case it falls through, there is a guy in North Webster that does all our registration #'s as well as a few custom graphics that is extremely reasonable. Doesn't hurt that he's a "boat" guy and will spend a lot of time just chatting about boats. Can't think of the shops name but if you find the need, let me know and I'll get the info.
