Re: Help me name the Boat.

I'll have to look into to that....The guy making the decals is a supplier of the company I work for......don't expect it to cost much to do the name and the registration numbers.....I'll cover the cost of the material...but he's doing me a favor ;)

I bought my wife one of those Cricut Expression machines, so she will be cutting our vinyl this time.:)

Sounds like you've got this part covered but just in case it falls through, there is a guy in North Webster that does all our registration #'s as well as a few custom graphics that is extremely reasonable. Doesn't hurt that he's a "boat" guy and will spend a lot of time just chatting about boats. Can't think of the shops name but if you find the need, let me know and I'll get the info.

Sure...doesn't hurt to have another source.

uh huh...and two kids in private school...next year only 1....I'ma gonna be rich!

We used to do that too. A private Christian school. Then we started homeschooling. Actually have more money now, even though Lovely Wife quit work (as a teacher at that private school) to stay home and teach our kids...and they are getting a better education. Go figure!

Takes a special person to be able to do that!.......I can't imagine the patience that takes :)

+1 on FOOBIEHAZZIE

Wow...ok.....it's getting better reception in this thread than it did when I said it at home....Of course my daughter is lobbying for it...the other two are like: eye roll...what ever...just name it!

So? What have you decided?

BTW,,,have you looked at the Coronados on eBay right now? There are a few...one is a '57 mahogany Coronado, and the other is a '63 hardtop Coronado, with gull wing doors! The other is an '80. B-yoo-ti-full!

I'm sitting down with the graphics guy on Friday....probably going to be Foobiehazzie.....unless someone comes up with something that strikes me. Having a couple of people post that they thought it was an appropriate name made it an easier decision. It's just kind of a funny word...meaningless to most people....but should generate some questions.

Interesting......I've seen the 63 and the 80 on other sites.....12k for that original 63 is a great price! That boat is rare!...I'd like to see the Hull ID on the 80.....Technically they didn't make any Coronado's in 80...they're actually 81's...but there we're a few that got delivered in 1980 and were titled as 80's...Mine is one of them. My hull is the 2nd one produced in 80...so I know there is at least one other....there weren't very many "80's" built. That one is nice...but it's been painted. Should have gel-coated it. It also has no Ski Pylon...or platform. Front Seats are not original....Interior doesn't look like factory original, which is still available through A&A marine...It's not worth $11,900.....but they may get it.......Have seen boats like mine go for 14k in this area....hard to explain paying 14k for a 30 year old boat that probably sold for the mid 20's new...but people do.

Re: Help me name the Boat.

OK...so is it Foobie then? Is that your final answer?

I believe so......I'll post pictures of it once I get it done......it's been a crazy couple of weeks. Just had my sons confirmation and party yesterday....cooked 40# of chicken on a big charcoal grill....anyway, I haven't had any time to get the boat ready...oil change etc. I should have a replacement drive shaft today, for the one that was too short.....so, I have a bunch of work to do to get it ready for the water, if it ever quits raining.....My Son's Baseball season just started, so now I'm in baseball jail a couple nights a week :)......It's hard to find time to play boats these days.

Proud of you guys for getting UBL!.........It's a great day for the USA! Keep your head down...be safe.
