Help Please !!! Running out of time

Ok Guys here is what I've got. A 1995 18.5 Capri w/a 4.3 ltr V6 Because of a frozen and busted block I have just installed a long block from Rapido Marine. The motor is now all together and reinstalled into the boat. Went to fire it off for the first time and got nothing. I have located the problem, one of the solinoid terminals has broken off. The solinoid is a four post, two small terminals and two large terminals. Went to local auto parts chains and tryed to find one, the only problem is they are all three post. I am heading out of town in the middle of the week for vacation (hopefully WITH the boat) Is there and auto make or model that will have the four post solinoid or am I going to be forced to wait till Monday and buy it online or a boat supply store.

You should NEVER replace MARINE parts with automotive parts unless you want take a chance of ruining you vacation or worse your life!!!!

Get the right part.

i just got my four post from carquest i brought them the part # from iboats and they found it

Coming home from vacation is more important than rushing through the job to get done. Should my local bayliner dealer carrry this in stock?

If he sells Merc parts I would say yes, very common part.

One more thought for ya fireman, is there a marina on the way to your vacation, sometimes in a pinch they re a lotta help.

That's a very common solenoid. Go to ANY Mercruiser dealer (not just Bayliner, any other boat brand is the same) and they'll probably have one in stock.

Go to Napa auto, they carry seirra boat parts.
