I replced the hose today on my 70hp recirculation system, the hose went from the puddle drain plate to a nipple by the bottom cyl, I was inspecting the old hose and noticed there was something in the hose when i cut the hose in half there was a small oneway valve in the hose , Can someone please tell me the way the flow goes??? From the plate to the cyl or the cyl to the plate ??? Thanks!!!!

Typically in the recirculation system, the excess fuel collects in the drain and gets sucked into the cylinder where it can burn up, so I believe your check valve should be placed to allow this to occur.
