Came back from fishing today and saw a kid (17/18) in the parking lot with his trailered boat (old 19' T-Craft WAC/115 Jonny. He looked depressed, so I asked him what the problem was. It turned out that this was his first boat (bough it last Sat.) and she wouldn't fire. Remembering my younger days with my first boat, I decided to give him a hand (luckiliy I had my tools in my truck). I cleaned the carbs, did some rewiring, and used one of my batteries to get it started. We took it out for a shake down and she ran pretty well. I got stumped when he showed me what seemed to be a fresh water spout in the gunnel with a 1/2 inch hose running from the gunnel down into the cuddy and attached to a round pump (5"X 2"). The intake side of the pump was disconnected and I couldn't see a holding tank for water. Could a boat this old have a small 5/6 gal. portable holding tank? Below the pump was a ridge of fiberglass one inch high that had a 3/4 inch plastic pipe imbedded in it running fore and aft as far as I could see with a one inch V notch cut in the pipe. Anybody know what that is? I told the kid I'd see him Thur.<br />Stalker
