Murphy has elves, or maybe gnomes, but all I know is he needs to leave the tin section. :D

Rear seats are lookin' good. I see you made some mini sliders to have access under the splashwell. A good idea.

Thanks GA I really tried to make it as accessible as possible, with the whole bench top flipping up and the sliders its more accessible than pretty much any other boat I have seen.

Even with Murph and some more time/mula spent at Lowe's...SHE LOOKS GOOD. I would be proud of that, you have done great work so far! Cant wait to see if she splashes this weekend...

Fought back at Murphy today

New windshield cut

The admiral is really peeved at me at the moment. She wants Flipper finished and gone like yesterday, and is upset because she claims I am being to nit picky what do you all think. Speed up and sacrifice quality a little bit or keep the same pace and quality?

Re: Here we go with the 16ss

We are down to electircal I can probably run the whole boat in 4 hours, install the steering helm and steering an hour or so finish the windshield repair probably two hours, mount the rubrail and inserts another 2 hours final mount seats and hinges 1 hour. for bench then the hull is done.

Paint the motor will be an 8 hour job from start to finish, its pretty well prepped now. Hang the motor and wrap up will be a day

So thats three days. Wednesday Thursday and Friday hopefully she will be done.

Also guys I need you to break my heart now.

I need you all to give me 2 selling prices.

What you would want to sell it for and a top I am probably going to be boating with it for a year sales price.

The overall short list of everything important.

Motor thoroughly inspected compression checked.

Carbs rebuilt
Ignition system rebuilt.
New Water Pump and Gear oil.

Converted to new rack and pinion steering.
New marine grade electrical.
All hardware is Stainless steel no short cuts.
New Bilge Pump.
Comes with depth finder.
4 new seats.
and obviously all new carpentry.

The trailer is freshly restored as well you all watched me do it last year on the 18'

Re: Here we go with the 16ss

Honestly Sig - I agree with the Admiral. You're building her like a keeper instead of a flipper. The quality added by you has to be balanced against the time, effort and cost. If you spend a dime of time or money, will it produce a buck when sold? This is one of those cases where you learn and apply the lessons on the next one. My opinion is all I'm saying. If I was going to pay someone to fix one up for me, you and I would be talking!

Regardless, the buyer is going to get a superior Starcraft.

Re: Here we go with the 16ss

We haven't seen the finished product yet, only the quality of your work :thumb: and don't know what you have in her for parts, but I would say boat purchase ($550) + parts/paint/motor/etc $$$ = your base, but that has nothing for your labor. I'm guessing your base is near 3k, so add 2/3s for labor or list about 5K obo. Settle for way upper 3, lower 4. Is that doable in East Tenn? I'm guessing a lot.
