The last that I heard that Detroit was not a war zone, as a matter of fact Detroit will have the crime rate regardless of the war in Iraq, as per their crime rate prior to the invasion of Iraq. To equate the crime rate between Baghdad, and Detroit, is in my opinion ludicrous.
We had a kid killed in Iraq this week that was from Hillsboro Illinois, about seventy miles from St.Louis ,they have not had a murder in that town of twenty years, are you trying to tell me that if that lad had lived he would have moved to Detroit, how can you compare death rates between his home town and Detroit.

Here’s a little food for thought if you choose to use the old noggin for anything besides a hat rack. The figure for Iraq, then, is not the "violent death rate"; it is only the rate of violent death from war.

Because im willing to let the good lord sort it out. Now my turn, if your so concerned about baby deaths, why aren’t you concerned about the deaths of our youngsters in there prime years dying in Iraq, involved in a war that was started on a mass of lies?

Tree, just to clear it up-
I do not support the way the war has been managed.

I have no idea if you protest abortion clinics, but I am pretty sure that it's a waste of time to do so. All those people on the corner look a little nutty. I keep trying to vote in people that I think will do something about it, but that seems to not work either. Got any other ideas?

The soldiers that are dying for us over in Iraq went voluntarily. They signed up for the service voluntarily. They were not drafted. They had a choice and are doing a dang good job over there. The babies on the other hand did not choose to do something that would get them killed. If your theory on God is true then it should apply to everything. Let God sort out the soldiers too.

The most recent such figures I could find from Iraq are, from 1990 and 1994, the annual homicide rate was between 5.66 and 7.28 per 100,000..

Your absolutely right doing a good, some of them are going into there third and fourth rotation though, surely the majority did not sign up for that I know when I was in, I didn’t. Also it would help if they were better equipped with up to date armor for there Hum-Vee,s.
