Not saying who, but someone does not have a life and just feels lonely and his way of interacting is to make comments that have nothing to do with the thread subject.

As far as the name changing, that is just childish.

I really don't have anything of value to add to all of this but since my sig is in question I guess I'll just say- Boys it just don't get any better than this. Ever the optimist I am.

What Oddjob and SBN said.
Basicaly almost every reply techno makes is a thinly veilled insult, or an ambiguous reply that can be interpreted as either an insult or an innocent comment. As soon as someone returns in kind, techno screams "poor poor me, I'm a victim." Techno is leading you guys around by a string in your nose.

Txwhinner reminds me of my 4 year old son who throws himself on the floor and starts screaming and crying that his older brother pushed him down, when he barely touched him. Grow up.

At the risk of being insulting, the word is stuttering

Well, Ray. It was not my intention to psychoanalyze you, only to present a model by which members may be able to get along with you for more than 5 posts in an otherwise harmless thread. Your participation needs more moderating than all other members combined.

Your motives in behaving and reacting the way you do are, of course, your own and private.

If it offends you that I try to help, I wont.

If it is of interest to you, it offends me that you find so many opportunities to make uncomplementary references to me and how I do my job. Please stop doing that.

I have taken an optimistic view of the decision to allow you to continue to post here, but it is wearing very thin.

With all due respect, there is nothing that I can do about your disposition(or pre-dispostion if you like). I don't think I have treated you any less fairly than you have treated me. You offered another member the opportunity to communicate outside this forum and I specifically requested that you extend that same courtesy to me. Your stilted remarks are not only evident to me but to others as well. (Brings out the tattle tales and teachers pets) I have no problem with your excerising control, but I will not be administered to by self appointed disciplinarians, who in the next thread are doing what they have just objected to. Please, if you want to have the last word email me at the address provided and authorized for all moderators. I appreciate your help but it would be a lot more helpful if what you see as mental aboration were expressed to me in private. Thank you Thank you Thank you. May I email you if you feel further discipiline is appropriate. i will no longer respond to you on line.
As long as everybody plays by the rules, the referee can just keep his whistle in his pocket. But why does it always have to be the second push that is called? Even that is OK as long as you make the call and outside influence is not involved. Again, Thank you for your consideration.

Egad! Turn your back to sleep or work for a few hours....

I wondered what all the dang name changing nonsense was about. And I notice that some folks are STILL making fun and insulting each other by the way they spell each others handles.

Kalian sez:
"Txwhinner reminds me of my 4 year old son who throws himself on the floor and starts screaming and crying that his older brother pushed him down, when he barely touched him. Grow up. "

who needs to grow up here? Why not just stick to substantive criticism of others opinions and leave the teasing, disrespectful handle-mangling out of it?

gad!

You have no idea. :p

Welcome! iboats is a fantastic place to get tech help, buy marine parts/supplies online, and have fun in Dockside Chat and Stupid Human Tricks.

The folks here (coupled with an insane amount of reading) have been a huge help to me w/my boat.

Re: hey, what happened to that thread? "...to ease tensions"

You're right Woodrat, I guess I stooped a little by changing his name. But if you read the posts refered to before they where zapped, you'd see he was making mountains out of molehills. I just didn't like the way he was characterizing JB, as I thought it was way overboard, and unfair, since no one can go back and read the posts that have been zapped, thus no one can form a fair opinion on whether his characterization was acurate or not. Whew! that's a long sentence!
And thats about all I got to say about that! ;)

One childish moment and I can't get my handle back . . .

How'd Pointer94 get his back, huh? Nice guy and everything, but why him? Favoritism? Then Kenneth got his back intact too, and he started the whole dang thing. Pony now has to be .Pony., but I think he was a member of TBAB, so that could explain that.

The login or public display name that you are trying to use has been reserved by an existing member. I know that my Poll was simplistic, maybe I am being punsihed for that too?

I know, I know, non-boating tech topic . . . :D
