Hi all,
I just put in a new shift cable and reattached the throttle cable. The new shift cable fixed my reverse issue (yay!). However, when I start the engine the RPMs are VERY high sounding. Plus, the prop is spinning quicker than normal like it's in gear (not just barely spinning).
I was thinking maybe I didn't have the mechanism that the shift cable connects to in the proper position (the little slider thing). But, with the control box set to neutral I have verified that the prop spins freely in both directions. So, I'm assuming that means I had the "slider-thing" in the correct position when I attached the shift cable. Any thoughts on what is going on?
As always, thanks for the help!
