Honda 4 stroke 15 hp

only have had experience with inboards.....engine runs fine but doesn't seem to have a fast steady stream of water coming out.......as my neighbours say it should. Do I have an impeller problem??

aardvark,<br />That would be the first place I'd look. Also,dont run the engine until you get cooling water through it. If you run it dry, you'll destroy the water pump, if its not dead already, and you could risk overheating the pistons,warping the heads, and scoring the cylinder walls.<br /><br />Take the lower unit off and check your waterpump impellor. Also look for debree caught in the lines. Thats probably all it <br />is.<br /><br />Nav

Hi Navigator<br />Thanks for the info.........Did everything required.......guess what??? It was a deaad bug caught in the pisser !!!!!!!!! Who would haved guessed ? But I learnd alot on the way............THANX A WHOLE BUNCH !!!!!!!!!<br />Aardvaak
