Looking at a Ev 115 motor for sale. The guy showing the motor hooked up a hose to it and it ran but....
Please, in some detail, explain to me the PROPPER way to do these hose connections...
...he had the water on and hooked up but I didn't see where water was supposed to positively exit after circulating and hopefully cooling the engine. Where is the exit port? Was it on th other side of where he connected the hose, assumably the proper intake for this test? A little "pee" stream evetually came out a bit above this one connection ....but things did not look right to me. The hot gauge came on at the dash too. I had him shut it down.
He appeared to have hose or water "muffs" devices but I don't think the hook ups were right. Help please so I can get the pre-purchase test/evaluation done without him hurting this motor, and hurting it by showing it to others who may be wanting to buy it before I do...if I do. I will explain to him the right way tommorrow if it isn't right....but something's wrong with the hot light comming on.
