Re: How do I assemble new ignition coils
I put them on and it seems to run well, with earmuffs. Going to get her wet tomorrow.
I cut off about 1/2" of insulation and folded the conductor back before sticking the spring in. Found out that if you wrap the conductor around the spring a once or twice it gets to be too big of a bump to get everything in the boot (or at least not easily). So I laid it flat like wombat recommended then put the spring in with half of the conductor braid on each side of the straight part of the spring. Once the spring was pushed into the wire and then rotated in place, I wrap the conductor wire halves over the exposed straight piece of the spring while pushing it into the boot.
