How do you move your Starcraft?

Just was wondering what you use to move your Starcraft around with?

Yikes that could be a disaster if the little guy got that to roll at all and stoped and the trailer did not. Don't take much to get them moveing when empty. Once the thought is in there head??????

Not much of a chance as the drive way slopes down and there are wheel blocks between the wheels. You can't see them in the photo.

Thanks I have a close friend that lives in Indiana and he was mowing his lawn with a rider and his 5 year old rolled down the hill and under the mower She lost half an arm and a complete leg. Sorry to post did not mean anything bad just have a hard time watchim=ng any kids anymore without wondering what if. Kid is doing well, better than I would have, had it been me. .

Is that flat bottom Starcraft easier to troll with than a deep Vee hull?? Thats my biggest problem when I fish alone most always is keeping the dern thing straight. I almost have to stop the boat to land a fish ,as I would be all over with what the tides do to a boat.

Had to sell it for $$$, bummer. Now I push around by hand, and I have a gravel driveway, double bummer.

Good thing you have the wheelie wheel, or that looks like it could have been painfull, ( did you learn that the hard way)?

It?s more like a sailboat LOL, blows all over the place. I have learned to use the fact that wind wants to push it around to my advantage. I had a large canvas bag (looked like a motor cover) that I used as a sea anchor to slow the boat down when drift fishing. Did a lot of drift fishing, I called it wind trolling. I have a 5 hp for trolling linked to the steering of the big guy. If I got a snag I would fire up the big guy and use reverse to back down on the snag, didn?t bother running to the back of the boat to shut down the little guy down. Some times I would use the big guy in reverse to troll in windy conditions. Definitely not a bass boat,

Never felt uncomfortable in steep water.

I would like to say that it was intuitive and I used the dolly wheel as a wheelie bar, but that didn?t happen. It was just dumb luck, I went to move the empty trailer and picked up the front of the trailer and put on the hitch ball on the tractor, the dolly wheel just cleared the ground. I had forgotten to remove the wheel chocks, put it in gear let out up the clutch, and surprise, up went the front of the tractor. Didn?t take a second time to remember to just raise the dolly wheel off the ground.

anyone ever tried one of the long trailer dollies with a hitch ball that let you move it by hand? i'm probably going to get one and would love any input good or bad. thanks!

The current tow rig under some snow...'99 Ford Explorer.

If I get a 22' Islander then I am hoping to buy this from my Grandpa-in-law. It's a GMC full-size van with the Starcraft package. He also dropped a Corvette V8 in it a while back and it sits in one of his barns.

52 GMC 350 V8 propane powered 4X4

When I was a flatlander I used this to tow my open SC. Could make my own ramp with this thing.

95 Ford f250 PS Diesel 4X4

I moved and have now been using this rig to tow boats around the island.
We have some long, steep grades through the mountains to get to the fishing.
