Re: How fast?

once you are up it's nothing to keep going, the problem you are going to encounter is pulling the boarder up out of the water.

Re: How fast?

to get pulled only, you just need to go forward, so someone in a canoe can also pull you forward ...... there is no correct speed, depending on your weight is depending on how fast you need to get pulled .....]

If u have nothing useful to say then shutup!!!

Re: How fast?

Unfortunately the only clowns I have to drive my boat while I board like to go fast. I tell them keep it right around 20 MPH. Nice ramp on the wake and the water is still soft so the board cuts easy. Well inevitable knucklehead can't keep the boat steady at 20 and figures 'screw it, I'll pull him at 30 because it's more fun to go fast'. At 30 the wake doesn't have nearly as nice of a ramp and I don't really like to attempt any tricks or big jumps because it hurts so darn much when you tuble at that speed. This is on a kneeboard by the way.

I gotta find me a real driver. I usually get a little boarding in and then when he drives too fast and doesn't get back where I want him I let go and get back in the boat. Then the requests to pull him on a tube at 40 MPH come... A few minutes later after being throw way into the air "I'm done for the day, that really beat me up" Ya think?

I hate people like that. That is the reason I do not ski anymore, no-one I know has the sense to pull me without trying to kill me.

I just realized I need a better class of friends...

Re: How fast?

haha that reminds me of 2 years ago when i first learned to ski on my buddys boat, we didnt know any better and people just said to pull someone on skiis you just gotta cram down the throttle. haha oh man both of us learned how to ski going 33 mph. we got pretty beat up untill i tried the kneeboard. holy h3ll that hurt!! i will never kneeboard again, and yes one trip, out of the blue we thought..."hey if we go a little slower, it wont hurt as much to fall!"

i think 25 hp on a 14 footer might be able to ski ! read some of the other postings like this thread, alot of the "exerienced" riders learned how to ski with 15 hp!

id definately think yousa be able to wakeboard, they pop outta the water alot faster than skis, my first time was this last summer and man! i didnt even know i was out of the water... that how fast it happens.

im currently anxously awaiting to see how my new boat proforms when i get some skis and a wakeboard... 40 horse on a side counsel 16 foot aluminum... anyone?
