Re: How many hours are on your engines/drives?
I'm not seeing any I/O's 'in the thousands' except one, plus a couple just over 1000. But there is comfort in seeing how many years they last, since every other comment about used boats is that that are all rotted out! Again, this poll is unscientific and one really can't draw many conclusions.
Nonetheless I am amazed at how little use the boats get. Without my hour meter ( and this one is my first boat with a meter; I added it) there is no way I could estimate or even guess my use. For one thing, for this boat, I don't have a typical or routine type of outing, but about a dozen or more different things I do, from short runs to 60 mile days to tubing near home to cocktail cruises. Then a totally different model for another boat I use for transportation and might not actually run but an hour or two the whole weekend.
All I can say is, run them as much as you can! Life is short! Don't spare the horses!
